In-Store Exit Polls

In-Store Exit Polls explore consumers purchasing behaviour from the first day of a film's retail release.

Typically, polls are conducted across three chains, with 20 stores per chain.

Research is normally carried out on days 1, 6 and 13 of release, though this is open to change.

Standard measures collected include:

  • Version purchased.
  • Extent to which purchase was planned.
  • Store Loyalty
  • Awareness of disc version not bought, and extent to which it would have been bought had only that version been available.
  • Baits and barriers of purchase.
